HELP! Any fun Beach games/trivia???

Ok, I need help...we are getting ready to head down to Myrtle for 2 weeks...and I was hoping to get a few good ideas for beach games/trivia or whatever for us to sit around in our big circle, with a drink in hand, and BS the beautiful beach hours away with.

I'm figuring I'll be spending my mornings with a bathing suit full of sand, digging sand castles with the kiddos, so I'm looking for a bit of a mental adult break time for during nap time :o)

Also, I've been busy downloading tons of music or "tunes" as the kids would call them, to jam to while down there. What are your favorites??? I've loaded up on Kenny Chesney, of course.

This one goes in the Super-Mom Files

We were so very proud of Chase putting out the vibe at the 4th of July party...he wanted to hang out with the "big kids" in the garage playing beer pong. I have to post this video of Chase...it looks like we are going to have our hands full with this one...he's a natural!

You don't see him make the shot, but he did! I had Addy on my hip and the party was in full swing, so you know how that goes...still pretty funny!

Pool par-tay!

Yesterday was the neighborhood's annual pool party...we have missed the last few and were glad we took the kids over for this one! They had a DJ, tons of food and there were kids everywhere!

Here are a few pictures of the kids taking a break from the swimming and dancing

PS: I love Addy's bathing suit...she's ridiculous

Miss Petunia in her "babin suit" the top kept rolling up to show off her little belly. She is teething hard-core right now so her hands are always in her mouth when she isn't eating. Poor thing.

"MOOOM! Quit taking pictures of me while I'm eating! Gah! Now I know how Nicole Ritchie feels! Give it a rest!"

"Ohh...he's cute. I wonder if that's his sister or girl friend? Hmm"
And here's my Chase-Monster after enjoying a cup cake...his eyes are all dark underneath because he was on day 2 of NO NAPS...and my last nerve :o) We tried water wings out for the first time yesterday...I think he needs a bit more time before he understands what to do with them. Our buddy the lifeguard thinks he's a bit young too. I think Chase just felt cool with them on.

4th of July

We had a fun day at the pool and then we headed over to Bruce's sister Erica's house for a cookout. We made that sangria recipe again and it was POTENT as ever.

Bruce's friend Mike brought a bunch of fireworks to set off once it got dark, and they had some of those snap/poppers that you are supposed to be able to throw down and they pop...well, Chase couldn't throw them hard enough, so we had to teach him a different way to do things...Bruce shows chase a really good way to get the job done.

Here are a few more pictures of the night...Addy had her first Rice Crispy Treat and fell in love...she savored the one you see for at least a half an hour, no joke. Casey kept messing with her saying she was going to eat it...and that's Aunt Nicole, her godmother.

Addy, her beloved rice crispy treat, and her godparents, Kevin and Nicole

Here's Chase, hanging out in the garage with the "big kids" who were playing beer pong...he's like, I'm not doing anything wrong, I swear!

Addy, just being Addy :o)

I did the unthinkable

OK, for this story, I feel the need to set the scene:

Bruce, watching OLD FOOTBALL games on the NFL network...you know, from last year?
Me, trying to get the kids dressed to go to the pool, the store, or something
General Chaos...for hours
Bruce, still watching the fricking football games...even with all of my nagging
Me, having just changed 2 poopy diapers
I tied the diapers up in a shopping bag to minimize the stinkiness
Bruce, STILL watching the TV, planted in his chair

(do you know where this is going?)

I get a wild hair up my butt, and think I know a way to get his attention...
I throw the poopy diaper filled bag across the room at him, trying to hit him
The bag somehow gets hung up on my thumb

and instead of throwing it across the room to get Bruce, I NAILED my unsuspecting mother in law in the back of the head with it.

She had no idea what was coming her way, or what had happened.

It was hilarious...thank goodness she knew it was an accident...I think I was laughing so hard I was in tears.

Plumbline Training's Blog...Up and Running!

Please check out Michael's new blog page if you have a chance:

I've been helping him out with it so stop by and show him some love!

PS: Wanna look like this 3 days a week? Don't be afraid...Chase took the picture, and I had just rolled in from getting my butt kicked in the very best way for the last hour (pardon all of the boob sweat!) Let me know, I could go on and on about how much our entire family loves Plumbline Training...give it a try, you won't regret it (Ok, you might not be able to move the next day, but that comes with the territory!)

Look out Tiger Woods

Bruce has a few days off before starting his new job on Monday (woo hoo! Way to go babe!)

Anyway, he's been taking advantage of it and getting out and doing stuff with the kids.

Yesterday I got this picture texted over to me...the guys were out hitting golf balls...Chase loved it!

They were off to buy Chase a club this AM and then they were going to head back over to "tee it up" some more.

Can you tell who dressed Chase before they left...he's like a little mini-Bruce here in his Red Sox hat and West Virginia t-shirt. :o)

Bullety Stuff from over the weekend

~Saturday we went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe by the mall. Oh my, it was delicious! AND they serve Mimosas, my kind of place...didn't help my diet any but it was worth it :o)

~I saw my OBGYN at Target with his TEENAGE daughter...I've been going to him for over 10 years and I never age people...I was shocked! He has to be in his 40's at least, but he was prematurely gray when I started to see him so it threw me for a loop! Love that man.

~The kids spent Friday and Saturday with my parents, when we got up there Saturday afternoon to pick them up, Chase had of course come up with something new and quirky to bring home...this time around...if you say "look, Tom Jones" he will stop whatever he is doing and bust out laughing...it even works for now during temper tantrums and crying. My dad always plays games with him, like look, there's Wayne Newton or something, and he decided to mix things up a bit...whatever works is all I have to say. :o) Thanks Dad!

~Chase and I had the BEST nap on Sunday...this was a BIG DEAL because Chase is fighting his naps and rarely takes one at home anymore. We played at the pool for a few hours and when we came home and had lunch, I just took him upstairs to lay in bed with me and chill for a little bit...we popped a Caillou DVD in and before I knew it, he was snoring cuddled up with his head on my shoulder...I took advantage and passed out with him...we woke up about 2 hours later only because my arm was asleep that he was laying on :o) I've found if I lower my expectations and don't get so hung up on things, sometimes I get a nice surprise out of it...hence the awesome lazy Sunday afternoon nap with my little boyfriend ;o)

~The kids love to eat outside on the deck...the only downside is that Chase gets to have free reign out there and he isn't strapped in to a booster seat anymore...so, he plays musical chairs, eating from everyone's plate and he is OBSESSED with spray butter, you know, for your corn on the cob, etc...he tries to spray it directly into his mouth...gross. We end up having to hide it or take it back inside. Oh yeah, Addy loves corn on the cob and would eat the whole thing, cob and all if you'd let her.

Superstah! The post that will never be...

Man! I have been trying to upload the cutest video of Addy singing "If you're happy and you know it" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" for the last few days and I guess it just wasn't mean to be!

I am bummed, maybe the file was too big, or Blogger just wants to hold my baby back from being the next American Idol for a few more years? ;o) Who knows...I'll have to take an even more fabulous video clip tonight. Take that, Internet!

Gah! This has totally drained all of my writing energy, I think I'll have to do a weekend bullety post...on a Wednesday to catch up.

Friday Date Night

The last few months have been a whirl-wind for us, and we finally had a night to ourselves to relax and just spend time together. Bruce starts a new job on Monday so we needed to celebrate!
We drove downtown to Georgetown to one of our favorite restaurants, the first place Bruce took me after our first date...Filomena . They have the best Italian food...and the BEST cheesecake...I can't remember the last time I had cheesecake...but I definitely did on Friday :o)
It was a good time, and a great drive home down GW parkway with the windows down, rocking out to some old Kenny Chesney...and to top it all off, we were in bed by 10:30...nice
