~Saturday we went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe by the mall. Oh my, it was delicious! AND they serve Mimosas, my kind of place...didn't help my diet any but it was worth it :o)
~I saw my
OBGYN at Target with his TEENAGE daughter...I've been going to him for over 10 years and I never age people...I was shocked! He has to be in his 40's at least, but he was
prematurely gray when I started to see him so it threw me for a loop! Love that man.
~The kids spent Friday and Saturday with my parents, when we got up there Saturday afternoon to pick them up, Chase had of course come up with something new and quirky to bring home...this time around...if you say "look, Tom Jones" he will stop whatever he is doing and bust out laughing...it even works for now during temper tantrums and crying. My dad always plays games with him, like look, there's Wayne Newton or something, and he decided to mix things up a bit...whatever works is all I have to say. :o) Thanks Dad!
~Chase and I had the BEST nap on Sunday...this was a BIG DEAL because Chase is fighting his naps and rarely takes one at home anymore. We played at the pool for a few hours and when we came home and had lunch, I just took him upstairs to lay in bed with me and chill for a little bit...we popped a
Caillou DVD in and before I knew it, he was snoring cuddled up with his head on my shoulder...I took advantage and passed out with him...we woke up about 2 hours later only because my arm was asleep that he was laying on :o) I've found if I lower my expectations and don't get so hung up on things, sometimes I get a nice
surprise out of it...hence the awesome lazy
Sunday afternoon nap with my little boyfriend ;o)
~The kids love to eat outside on the deck...the only downside is that Chase gets to have free reign out there and he isn't strapped in to a booster seat anymore...so, he plays musical chairs, eating from
everyone's plate and he is OBSESSED with spray butter, you know, for your corn on the cob, etc...he tries to spray it directly into his mouth...gross. We end up having to hide it or take it back inside. Oh yeah, Addy loves corn on the cob and would eat the whole thing, cob and all if you'd let her.
