When my sister and I were younger, my Dad built us an awesome play-set in our backyard...not the kind that you can go out and buy, but a HUGE, 4x4 built monstrosity, with swings, monkey bars, a slide and a sandbox...we loved it.
When the kids go up to Grammy and Grampy's, they fight over who gets to swing, in the one swing that was hanging from an old tree in the back yard...this tree used to be enormous, shading a good portion of the back yard...a few storms have had their way with the tree, and it has lost sections at a time...leaving only the branch that the swing was hanging from...I think that is crazy.
SO! Mom and Dad built the kids a swing-set...Dad says the other parts will be added on as he can get to them...but the swings are awesome, and the kids couldn't be happier...my Mom was so excited about it being done, that she had us bring the kids up Thursday night to check them out.
Here are a bunch of pictures of the ceremonious hanging of the swings, and the first swing :o)
Here's Chase and Grampy, working VERY hard...there was dirt flying everywhere, I had to keep ducking!
Thanks Mom and Dad!

i love the swing that Addy is in. We had one of those at my grandfather's house growing up. We will have to sneak to your parents for a visit sometime!!! :)
This is super cool- Dad gave me a play by play, and grudgingly admitted that it was pretty cool to see the monkeys so excited!
That's awesome. What great grandparents your kids have!!!
